Save money with the right preparations

For us to be able to calculate the lowest price, it is important that your drawing file only contains objects to be cut out. The file should therefore not contain exposed dimensions, texts, tick lines, drawing frames or similar.

Otherwise, no extra adjustments are needed, especially if you want to order one or more copies of the same part. If you want to combine several drawings in the same material or have drawings that contain many individual details, you can save money by using the more advanced preparation methods below.

Multiple drawings in the same material

If you want to order several different parts in the same material, it is an advantage to combine them in the same drawing. This way, you can avoid setup costs for each individual part.

Nesting your parts

If your drawing contains many smaller parts such as letters, small details and the like, it can be an economic advantage to nest the file.

Nesting means letting the computer turn, twist and move the different details so that they fit on as little material surface as possible.

To nest, you need to use appropriate software, and several options are available online. A free version is Deepnest.io which can be downloaded for PC or Mac.

Another is Nestandcut.com which offers a free trial month and then has a fairly reasonable monthly cost.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide support for these programmes, but good help texts and YouTube instructional videos are available for both options.

When nesting, stay within a material format of 2500 x 1250 mm.
