Deburring in the Fladder®
- Highly efficient deburring
- Deburring from all angles
- Can create significant edge rounding
- Produces a surface with an irregular grinding pattern
In our Fladder® Gyro 300 we deburr, edge round and surface grind metals and other materials with fantastic results. The 2 mm radius is achievable in most materials. All edges are reached from all directions. On flat surfaces, the grinding pattern is completely irregular.
The flutter technique allows deburring without damaging the protective plastic, which means that deburring can be done without damaging surface patterns such as hairline grinding or anodised/anodised surfaces. Even deburring of 3D objects is often possible.
Maximum format
Width 1300 mm. Length “unlimited”.
Thickness up to 100 mm.
Deburring is an important process to remove unwanted edges or burrs from processed materials and products. This can be crucial to achieving optimal quality and functionality in the final product. A common method for deburring is to use a Fladder®, a rotary brush machine that can process a variety of materials.
Fladder® deburring is an efficient and accurate method for removing roughness and edges from processed materials. Fladder® is often used in the metal and wood industries but can also be used for other materials, such as plastics and composites.
Fladder® deburring uses a rotating drum with soft abrasive discs mounted on the surface. The discs are made of soft fibres, making it possible to grind without damaging the surface of the material being processed. As the drum rotates, the discs grind off irregularities and remove edges from the surface of the material. Because the discs are flexible, they can also grind irregularities on difficult and complex surfaces, making it a versatile method of deburring.
An advantage of Fladder® deburring is its efficiency. Fladder® can deburr large volumes of material in a short time, making it a productive method for the production of large volumes of products. It is also a very accurate method of deburring, which makes it possible to achieve a high quality of the processed material.
Another advantage of Fladder® deburring is its versatility. Fladder® can be used to deburr a variety of materials, including metal, wood, plastics and composites. It can also be used to create different textures and finishes on the processed material, such as matt, polished or brushed surfaces.
An important factor to consider in Fladder® deburring is choosing the right type of discs for the material being processed. The discs come in different sizes and materials to suit different materials and applications. By choosing the right type of discs, you can achieve optimal results and avoid damage to the material being machined.
